Robrietta (Frisky) Lambert has been selected as Treasure Mountain Festivals 2023 Grand Marshall. She is very proud to receive this honor. Frisky graduated from Franklin High School in 1971. While in high school, she participated in many school activities, National Honor Society, and class officer. In her community she was a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church (youth group) and 4-H member, earning the 4-H All Star Pin. After high school she attended Eastern Mennonite University, graduating with a degree in Physical Education & Health. Following graduation in 1976 she returned to Franklin to become the first County/Town of Franklin Recreation Director. She organized many activities for the residents of Franklin (children & adults) and surrounding communities including skiing, aerobics exercise, swimming, tennis classes, adult independent ball leagues, Halloween & Easter parties, she founded the first Pendleton County Tee-Ball League and formed the alumni band that marches in the Treasure Mountain Festival parade each year. She was a 4-H leader and volunteer, taught bible school and Sunday school in her church. After 33 years of teaching and many years at the pool she has retired but still remains an active volunteer in our community. She now serves on the Pendleton County Senior Center Board and helps with the community pool and school events. She also continues to keep Dr. H. Luke Eye’s legacy of the TMF children’s games on Saturday morning as her and her family help with this event and it’s very special to them all. In her spare time she travels to Charleston to visit her son Dr. Derek Lambert, employed by the WV State Department of Education and spending time with her daughter Keely Smith, Pre-K teacher at Brandywine Elementary School. She helps her husband Jack on their farm. She is proud to serve as our Parade Grand Marshall 2023.
